
Ganapathy leads after Round 3:

Rahul Ganapathy led the pack after an outstanding round of four-under-par 68 on Day 3 of the IOC XtraPremium Masters 2007.
Ganapathy registered the best round of the day along with Mukesh Kumar who also shot four-under-par. Mukesh is placed second trailing Ganapathy by one stroke.
The third day of the tournament at the Digboi Golf Links was blessed with much better weather than the previous two days. Now with three rounds of this PGTI event completed, an exciting final day’s play lies in prospect.
Ganapathy made an eagle, four birdies and two bogeys in his round of 68 that helped him grab the lead with an overall score of seven-under 209.
The Mysore golfer sank an incredible eagle on the par five 7th hole and made birdies on second, 15th, 16th and 18th. He dropped bogeys on the third and 12th.
Ganapathy has been one of the most consistent golfers at this event so far having carded scores of 69, 72 and 68. He is now on the cusp of winning his first PGTI event.
One stroke off the lead in second position was three-time champion at Digboi, Mukesh Kumar. The golfer from Mhow has a score of six-under-par 210 after his third round performance of four-under 68.
His round on Saturday included six birdies on the third, ninth, 11th, 14th, 15th and 18th. He also made two bogeys on the first and fourth.
Harender Gupta of Chandigarh, another previous winner at Digboi, was placed third at three-under 213. His round of 70 had seven birdies, two bogeys and one double bogey.
Earlier in the day the cut was applied at 12-over-par after the completion of the second round. Fifty three golfers managed to make the cut.
Raju Ali Mollah was the leader after the second round as his score read four-under 140. However, he did not have a good third round, shooting two-over-par 74. This took his total to two-under 214. Mollah is now placed fourth, five strokes behind the leader.
Kolkata’s Yusuf Ali was the Round One leader with six-under par 66. Mukesh Kumar, Raju Ali Mollah, Rahul Ganapathy and Mohd Islam had scores of three-under 69 for tied second place.
