MPSC in CC Meet semi-final:
Imphal, Dec 4: Veteran striker I Nillakumar netted his sixth goal of the competition on Tuesday as Manipur Police sports Club (MPSC) joined NISA and SSU in the last four stage of the 51st Sir Churachand Singh KCSI CBE Memorial Football tournament here.
On the penultimate day of quarter-final league on Tuesday, the police side edged past YWC, Thambalkhong, 2-1 to top Group P with six points.
Nillakumar headed in the MPSC opener six minutes into the game to become the highest goal scorer in the competition so far.
YWC levelled the score when L Indramani drilled in from a goalmouth melee in the 22nd only to find Nillakumar shake off his markers to feed M Somochandra to regain the one goal advantage six minutes later.
Earlier in the tournament, MPSC had trounced Nagaland Police 4-0 with the Thambalkhong side defeating NP 2-0.The quarter-final round will conclude tomorrow (Wednesday) with AMOFA, Moirang, and Assam's Green Valley facing each other in a must win game for both the sides while City Club and USA will play for academic interest.

Sir Churachand Football Meet
YWC, NISA win at 51st CC Meet:
Imphal, Nov 30: YWC, Thambalkhong and NISA, Thangmeiband won their respective quarter-final encounters in the 51st CC Meet at Mapal Kangjeibung here on Friday.
In the first match, YWC blanked Nagaland Police with goal in each half.
Kh Ronald put YWC on the best possible start with a first minute goal while L Indramani consolidated the lead in the third minute of the second half.
The policemen had a solid chance to equalise in the 13th minute, but Vileibeizo's attempt was thwarted by YWC goalkeeper Kh Sushil Kumar.
The Nagaland striker was given the yellow card in the 83rd minute of play.
On the other hand, NISA's Charan Rai's 59th minute penalty strike earned them full points against ESU, Wangkhei.
Th Surjit and Th Pravin Kumar of ESU and Y Raju Mangang of NISA were cautioned with yellow cards.
In tomorrow's fixture at 12.05 noon, NEROCA, Sangakpham meet AMOFA, Moirang in the first match while at 1.45 pm, SSU meet City Club, Heirok in the second match.

NISA, YWC in CC Meet Quarter-finals:
Imphal, Nov 27: NISA, Thangmeiband and YWC, Thambalkhong recorded identical 3-0 victories over their respective group opponents to storm into the quarter-finals of the 51st CC Meet at Mapal Kangjeibung on Tuesday.
While NISA outplayed YPO, Sora, today to top Group B with an-all win record including 6-1 thrashing of Citizens' Club, Soibam Leikai, in its campaign opener, the Thambalkhong side, having defeated XI Star Sporting Union by a solitary goal in an earlier Group D tie, sealed their last eight berth after humbling TRUGPU, Nambol in the day's second match.
After O Pritam provided the NISA breakthrough only three minutes into play the same player doubled the lead in the 63rd minute and set up the team's third scored by M Abhiraj five minutes from end of normal period.
In YWC's comprehensive win, S Herojit struck the opener in the 41st minute before adding his second five minutes later.
Th Santosh finished off the game with an 85th minute strike.
