Mokokchung defeat Tuensang:
Dimapur, Dec 8: Mokokchung defeated Tuensang 3-0 in the sole match of the day in Dr T Ao Inter-district Football tournament at Wokha on Saturday.
Akum of Mokokchung scored the first goal in the 12th Minutes of the game. Lipok and Saku added to the tally in the 26th and 75th minutes respectively.

Dr. T Ao Nagaland Inter District Football
Phek, Dimapur register wins:
Dimapur, Dec 7: Phek DFA humbled Kiphire District 6-0 in the 17th Dr T Ao Inter District Football Tournament at local ground Wokha on Friday.
The first goal for Phek came from Vesuhu, the captain of the side in the ninth minute.
Verazo added the second goal in the 48th minute, Sathose in 52nd, 61st and 77th minutes.
In the second match of the day, Dimapur DFA defeated Wokha DSA 2-0. Mangal scored the first goal in the 26th minute and Asian doubled the score in the 66th minute.

Mokokchung Motor Rally

Mokokchung DC flags off 16 cars:
Mokokchung, Nov 28: The Mokokchung Motor Rally 2007, organised by the Mokokchung District Sports Council (MDSC) in commemoration of the Mokokchung District Administration Golden jubilee celebrations, commenced on Wednesday with DC Mokokchung flagging off the rally at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung.
Altogether, 16 cars are competing in the rally in both the Extreme (8 cars) and General (8 cars) categories including participants from both within and outside the state besides.
After the flag off, the rally proceeded towards Khensa village till the Changki X-Junction along the Mariani Road. Thereafter, the route diverted to Dibuia, Waromung, Yimjenkimong, Molungkimong, Molungyimnsen villages and headed to Tuli via Loyung. The rallyist earlier stopped at Dibuia village for lunch before starting out again.
After Tuli, the rallyist regrouped and further proceeded towards Mokokchung for the last leg of the day. The first day of the rally also saw some vehicles getting retired midway due to technical problems.
The rally will continue tomorrow where the rallyist will proceed from Imkongmeren Sports Complex Mokokchung to Chare under Tuensang district via Dikhu and Chijung river and return to Mokokchung. At Chijung, the rallyist will have 'brunch', a combination of breakfast and lunch at the Chijung Resort. After reaching Mokokchung, the last and final leg of the competiton will "Autocross" at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex Mokokchung.
The rally will conclude tomorrow with chief secretary Lalhuma gracing the valedictory as the chief guest.

Dimapur district overall team champion:
Oct 26: Dimapur district emerged the overall team champion, athletics team champion as well as football (men) champion at the Inter-District Catch Them Young Football and Athletic Tournament 2007, which concluded at Indira Gandhi Stadium here today.
Winning 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze in athletics, Dimapur district was declared the athletics team champion while Phek district winning 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze has been declared athletics team runners-up.
In an exciting football final match, Dimapur district blanked Peren District 5-0 and walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 along with trophy and certificates. Peren District pocketed a cash prize of Rs. 20,000, besides its player Poudingai being declared the best player.
Vesatha of Phek district who bagged 2 Gold and Ngulieneinuo of Dimapur district who won 2 Gold and 1 Silver were declared best athletes among boys and girls respectively.
