Cooch Behar Trophy (Under-17)

Assam draws with Hyderabad:

Lucknow, Dec 5: The Cooch Behar Trophy match between Hyderabad and Assam ended here on Wednesday without any result though the former collected valuable points for taking a slender lead of only three runs in the first innings.

Assam were 200 for nine in their second innings on the final day. Rishav Das (55) added 85 runs with Surapam Purkaystya (76 not out) for the seventh wicket in 91 minutes.

At the end of the league matches here, both Hyderabad and Saurashtra collected three
points against one each by Asom and Tamil Nadu for the drawn matches.

Cooch Behar Trophy (Under-19)

Tripura bite the dust against underdogs J&K:

Patiala, Dec 5: Jammu and Kashmir beat formidable Tripura by 13 runs on the final day of their four-day Cooch Behar Trophy (Under-19) encounter at Dhruv Pandove Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday.

Overnight 143 for 6 in 46 overs, Tripura required 48 runs for victory with four wickets in hand, but lost the nerves to fall short by 13 runs as they were bowled out for 177 in the morning session.

Mohammad Muddassar ripped through the strong Tripura batting line-up to capture five wickets while conceding 61 runs. He was ably backed up by Manik Gupta, who bagged four wickets for 59 runs.

With the victory, Jammu and Kashmir earned five points. They will now play against Goa here from December 8 to 11.
