Mohd. Sporting lift Martyrs’ Cup:
Kokrajhar, Dec 18: Kolkata giants Mohammedan Sporting lifted the Bodoland Martyrs’ Gold Cup defeating another Kolkata outfit Chirag United by a solitary goal in the final at KDSA ground here on Tuesday.
The all important goal was scored by Muri in the 27th minute of the game.
However, Mohammedan Sporting had to play with ten men in the second half as Farook Haider was shown the red card in the dying minutes of the first half.
The Speakar of BTC Reo Narzary gave away the winner’s trophy and a cash prize of Rs 50,000 to Mohd Sporting while Member of Parliament S K Bwismuthiary handed over the runners-up trophy and Rs. 25,000 to Chirag United.

Martyrs' Gold Cup Volleyball
Punjab Police champions:
Kokrajhar, Dec 5: Punjab Police of Jalandhar emerged champions in the Martyrs Gold Cup Volleyball Tournament defeating BSF, Jalandhar, in the final held the KDSA ground here on Tuesday.
Punjab Police won the final 25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-12.
Darbiner Singh of the winning team was adjudged the best player of the final.
The chief of BTC Hagrama Mohilary gave away the prizes.
The winners received Rs 50,000 while the runners-up were given Rs 25,000.
