Two Manipuri weightlifters win gold while representing other states.

Women’s 49kg Category (January 30)

Gold: Gyaneshwari Devi (Chhattisgarh) - total lift of 191 kg (85 kg Snatch, 106 kg Clean & Jerk)

Silver: Sarika (Maharashtra) - total lift of 179 kg

Bronze: Komal Kohar (Haryana) - total lift of 179 kg.


Men’s 61kg Category

Gold: Ch Rishikanta Singh (Services) - total lift of 273 kg (122 kg Snatch, 151 kg Clean & Jerk)

Silver: Sanket Mahadeva Sargar (Maharashtra) - total lift of 259 kg

Bronze: Shubham Tanaji Todkar (Maharashtra) - total lift of 254 kg.

38th National Games in Uttarakhand 2025:

At the end of competitions on January 30, Karnataka accumulated 12 medals (7 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze) and remained at top position.

Manipur was closing in on second place with 11 medals (6 gold, 5 silver) after picking a gold each in wushu and triathlon on Thursday (January 30).

Last edition medal tally topper Maharashtra has so far won the maximum number of medals -- 23 (4 gold, 11 silver, 8 bronze) -- but its lesser number of gold medals kept it at the third spot.

Arunachal Pradesh occupy 11th position with 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze. Assam at 15th place with 1 silver.

Manipur won 3 gold and 2 silver medals in wushu on January 29 at Kanchenjunga Hall, Maharana Pratap Sports College in Dehradun.

Manipur in 3rd place in the medal tally at the end of competitions on January 29.

Manipur's Sarungbam Athouba Meitei won the first gold medal of the 38th National Games in men's 

triathlon event in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, on January 26. 

Another Manipuri player Telheiba Soram took the silver, while Maharashtra’s Parth Sachin Mirage 

claimed the bronze.

The triathlon event began two days ahead of the official opening of the 38th National Games in Dehradun 

on January 28.

Athouba completed the race in 1:01:01s. He clocked 9:55 minutes in swimming, 31:53 minutes in the  

bike segment, and a run time of 18:09 minutes. He was overall second in swimming, first in biking, and 

fourth in the running leg.

Triathlon is an endurance multi-sport race consisting of swimming, cycling and running over various 

distances.

Manipur beaten by Kerala 1-5 in Santosh Trophy

Manipur lost to Kerala 1-5 in semifinal of men's senior National Football Championships for the Santosh Trophy in Hyderabad on Sunday (December 29)

Goal Scorers:

Kerala 5 (Naseeb Rahman 22nd minute, Muhammad Ajsal 45+1, Muhammad Roshal 73rd, 88th, 90+5 pen) beat Manipur (Shunjanthan Ragui 30th minute, penalty)
